Nineteen-year-old Muyu Uchiki has been a shut-in since dropping out of a prestigious high school two years ago. Still, she has a modest source of income as a remote graphics designer for Renard du Tibet, her aunt's bakery in Kamakura. However, when her aunt gets pregnant and her uncle ends up in a wheelchair, Muyu is chosen to become the shop's temporary manager—a nightmarish position for introverts like her. Deciding this may be an opportunity to change her life for the better, Muyu reluctantly accepts despite having to leave her hometown. It turns out that Muyu has become quite a celebrity in Kamakura; her designs garner widespread attention from the locals—especially the mascot she drew for her aunt's business. This unanticipated popularity worsens her social anxiety, but Muyu soon proves to have a knack for customer service. All she needs to do next is to bond with the employees under her management to ensure smooth teamwork and preserve the bakeshop's reputation.
