Otomen

Asuka Masamune is a young man whose love for all things cute, fluffy, sweet, and sparkly brings nothing but disappointment and horror to his mother. Following a family incident that led to his father leaving, Asuka was pressured to give up his hobbies and focus on sports like kendo, judo, and karate to embody masculinity. He eventually became the highly ranked captain of his high school's kendo team, accepting a life of manliness, but his interest in feminine things is rekindled when he meets transfer student Ryo Miyakozuka and falls in love. Unlike Asuka, Ryo has zero interest in traditionally feminine activities like cooking and sewing. She's tough, with a fierce kick and an equally strong personality. Asuka's friend, Juta Tachibana, encourages him to befriend Ryo to use her as inspiration for the shoujo manga he secretly publishes. As their relationship develops, Asuka begins to embrace his true nature as an "otomen." Additional stories include Glass no Otomen, where Otomen Sen no Kamen wo Motsu discovers his love for glassblowing, and Love-Tic in Volume 11.
