As a freshman in high school, Kiri Koshiba uses her incredible hairdressing abilities to improve the appearances of others and uplift their confidence. However, she becomes the focus of the formidable Scissors Project (SP) after they discover her talent. The SP is made up of hairstylist Shougo Narumi, nail artist Kei Minami, and beauty consultant Kazuhiko Ochiai, who specialize in taking on a girl for a total transformation. When Kiri's closest friend, Kanako Aoyama, is wrongfully accused of buying her way into the SP makeover, Kiri comes to her friend's defense and brings her magic touch to Kanako. The SP is mesmerized by the transformation, igniting Narumi's thirst for a hairdressing showdown with Kiri. Following volumes offer brief stories that offer glimpses into Kiri's life and the lives of other characters in the manga.
